WeightChoice is not a diet, and at the same time it deserves the title of the most radical and innovative weight normalisation program on the planet because it is totally different from anything else you would ever have tried or even heard of.

 

I mean, you already know that diets fail for nearly 98% of people, don’t you?

 

There is one reason, and one reason only, that you are overweight and that is because you are taking in more calories than you need to maintain your ideal weight. And even though you may have dieted and lost weight in the past, it always comes back. So we’re not going to give you a diet.

 

What about all the people who say they can’t lose weight on 800 calories a day? Or people who say they don’t overeat and don’t know why they’ve accumulated unwanted weight?

So what on earth is going on?

 

Now let me share that secret with you. It’s called amnesic eating and it happens very consistently amongst people who are trying to starve themselves, or to at least deny their real food preferences.

 

You see, your unconscious mind will fight tooth and nail not to go without what it really wants, and all the willpower and self discipline in the world is no match. Here’s an example. You might completely forget how that packet of biscuits in the pantry managed to disappear in a week. You may even think that someone else must have eaten it. You will swear black and blue that it wasn’t you, but it was.

 

So what happens is that you can be very disciplined about your meals. They’re completely healthy. The portions are correct. And it may even seem that you are in fact eating very little. But in between those meals food and/or beverages, other things are most likely being taken in, without your conscious memory of the fact.

 

This is why amnesic eating is just one of the factors we investigate and help you to deal with comfortably and completely non-judgementally. Believe me, almost EVERYBODY does it, so if you’re one of those people who “can’t lose weight even on starvation diets”, you are very much far from alone.

 

The other factor is plain unawareness of what’s actually in the food we eat. We could eat well all week, but every weekend basically take in enough to double or more our weekly intake. We could have a habit of using shakes, or grabbing a capuccino, adding 500 to 1000 calories a day to our actual needs, and 5-20 kg in a single year depending on the particular habit.

 

Or if we’re female and do most of the cooking and serving of food, we may have moved into a habit of putting the same portions on our plate as our much bigger partner who also may have a much faster metabolic rate because of greater muscle mass. If he/she is big too, we might have been putting even more on their plate so that our lesser amount doesn’t seem so “small”.

 

Finally, there is emotional eating, situational eating, habitual eating, and compulsive eating, that may or may not overlap the other factors. We are expert at helping you discover what’s going on and completely free you from it, effortlessly and permanently.
